Gangananda - a tranquil upmarket villa situated in its own private gardens with a contemporary infinity pool overlooking the breathtaking Madampe lake.
Three air conditioned bedrooms, indoor and outdoor bathrooms - two with king sized beds and a third bedroom with two singles.
The Gangananda staff are available 24hrs a day in the adjacent service house to look after your every need. After relaxing in the pool, taking a trip on the lake in the villa's boat or in one of the two kayaks, the manager will be on hand to guide you in your choice of trips and excursions into the local area; and to arrange the transport via tuk tuk or an air conditioned mini-van.
The villa is in a small and quiet village and only about a mile from a secluded beach. The lively nearby town of Ambalangoda has many things to see, including the famous mask factory and museum and an historical bell tower. Not far away can be found the longest reclining Buddha statue in South Asia, a moonstone mine and turtle and fish farms.
Gangananda is only about two hours from Colombo and the airport (depending on the traffic) and Ambalangoda has railway and bus stations. The nearest hospital is only a few miles away in Balapitiya.
