About Us

Mirissa Hills is a truly unique, boutique and all round fabulous villa experience. Hidden away upon the hilltops of Mirissa, the villa has sensational panoramic views of the beautiful valleys and coastline below.

Mirissa Hills is privileged to own three truly individual properties perfectly tailored for families, couples or the solo traveller, on any budget. Our all inclusive options allow you to live like a colonial Lord steeped in historical culture. The menu offers such delights as cashew nut curry, pol sambol, high tea of scones and cake, finished with a luxury nightcap and turndown service.

Enjoy the working 50 acre cinnamon estate and learn about the rich heritage of the most coveted spice of all times. With the upcoming opening of our cinnamon museum, combined with generations of knowledge, you can truly immerse yourself in the cinnamon experience. Learn something new in the cinnamon workshop, even try your hand at rolling the bark yourself. Take home a treat from our cinnamon shop, where all items are locally sourced and hand made by the surrounding community for fair wages.

Lose yourself along the cinnamon trails and paddy fields before stopping for lunch with a local family. Enjoy many of the on-site activities such as cooking classes, wood carving, bike rides, volley ball and of course swimming in one of two of our stunning pools. If you are feeling more adventurous, head out on a local excursion to Mirissa beach for fun in the sun, Weligama bay for surfing, Koggala Lake for a quick boat safari or the UNESCO heritage site, Galle Fort.

The first property, Mount Cinnamon was designed by architect Anjalendran, protege to Geoffrey Bawa. The property has four spacious rooms with incredible views, large comfortable beds, antique furnishings and hand chosen art work.

The second property is home to the worlds first museum dedicated only to cinnamon, with artefacts from around the world, it is the hub of ancient knowledge and mythology behind this sought after spice. With four rooms, a bar and an exceptionally stunning infinity pool, this property caters for all.

The final property, The Bungalow is the most interesting of all the properties as it is the original bungalow for the cinnamon estate, dating over 100 years in age. Original furnishings, beautiful art work and warm welcoming staff make you feel as though you were sent back in time to the era of The Raj.

Step back in time with this hidden gem and truly experience all Sri Lanka has to offer, in one beautiful place.
