These rest Houses were managed and controlled under the directions of government agent (GA) of the relevant district. The rest Houses were maintained merely for the use of government officers; hence no income was expected at the beginning. The Government officers also used these rest houses to stay with their family members during their official work as well, usually for holidays. Therefore, the rest houses were kept cleaned and in s well maintained condition. Ordinary persons were not allowed to use these rest houses.
